Books by C.A. Huntley
I’ve used C.A. Huntley as a penname for my books. Here’s why.
No, I did not use a penname because I have a split personality disorder or because I've a dark past to hide. Neither is it because I’m an undercover spy or an undocumented immigrant. Instead, a penname is chosen to reflect an interesting part of my life’s story, and “C.A. Huntley” is chosen (with the help from my wife and Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Brown, my American mentors and friends) to reflect that part as accurately as possible. I’ll tell you more about it when you attend one of my seminars that is based on one of my books!
What are my books about?
My books describe and discuss interesting insights and fascinating concepts that are important for everyone to know, especially in today’s highly competitive and connected world. The insights and concepts are largely drawn from the fields of psychology, neuroscience, and the behavioral sciences.
One example: Studies have shown that people who wear (or thought they are wearing) authentic sunglasses tend to do better on a series of tests than those who wear (or thought they are wearing) fake sunglasses of the same brand. The former also tend to be more honest and believe that people are more honest in general than the latter group.
Another example: Tell the people in a town that 20% of all released prisoners tend to commit crime again within one year of release. They will find this statistic quite acceptable. But try telling them that 2 out of every 10 released prisoners will break the law again within the first year of release. It may make some of them faint. This is true even though 20% is rationally the same as 2 out of 10.
In all my books I argue that human beings are primarily not rational but psychological beings. This means that people’s behavior (such as the two examples cited above) are best understood and best influenced not from a rational standpoint (an error that most of us commit most of the time) but from a psychological viewpoint. My books explain how.
The concepts in all my books are based on credible and reputable studies conducted by established researchers. As such, all the concepts that you will learn from my books can be said to be tried and tested, and found to be real and realistic.
Who did I write the books for?
My books are written for two main audiences, namely:
(1) business professionals who are keen to know what it takes to be more efficient and effective; and
(2) anyone who is keen to understand what makes people (including oneself) think, feel, and act the way they do, and henceforth how to influence them to think, feel, or act in a certain way.
Additionally, my books may also be used as supplementary reading texts for college or university students, especially those in the fields of psychology and business management.
How corporations can use these books for their internal training and development?
One of my passions is to equip corporate executives with the essential knowledge to be more effective in what they do as well as in dealing with people. My books have been largely written for this purpose.
That is, the books have been written so that they may be used as a platform to train and develop a corporation’s workforce.
Several organizations have used (or have expressed interest in using) at least one of the books to help their employees to understand what it takes to create a more productive and efficient workforce. Thus far, the executives and managers in my workshops found the books’ contents and ideas rather insightful, thought-provoking, and unique in perspective. The books, they said, are fun to read and easy to relate.

While these books are currently only available to corporations for training and development purposes, they will be available to the public soon.
