Critical Thinking & Reasoning

Critical Thinking & Reasoning

New and insightful ideas on how to think more effectively

Ever wonder why plans often seem to fail, meetings seem to go nowhere, and analyses seem to last forever?

And why do people often strenuously disagree with one another without even knowing why they disagree or what are they really disagreeing about!

The reason has very little to do with the people’s level of intelligence, the makeup of their mindset, or the size of their ego. Rather, it has very much to do with what the speaker calls “armchair rationality,” “artificial rationality,” or “junk rationality,” which have been shown to obstruct clarity of thought and inhibit clarity of focus. This course tells us what they are and how to overcome them in order to become more effective thinkers. The course shows us how to outthink our peers and outsmart our rivals!

Course overview

What separates the effective from the less effective professional is often the ability to think critically. A person who can think fast and well has far more mental resources for better performance than his peers who lack good thinking skills. When you are armed with critical thinking tools, many benefits inevitably follow. You are able to identify thinking flaws, differentiate between good and bad suggestions, communicate persuasively, manage difficult people and circumstances, and more.

Learning Outcome

Good thinking skills can help managers to improve their top- and bottom-line outcomes. This is because managers with good thinking skills are generally better at problem solving, decision making, strategic planning, and more. The reason? Critical thinking skills helps one to overcome thinking inefficiencies and override thinking flaws, thereby making one more efficient and competent.
